Waiting on Wednesday: Last Day of Vacation

It's Wednesday and you know what that means, I am linking up with Holly for Waiting on Wednesday.

I have had a great vacation and I am a little sad about going back to work.

I know that what I do is important just like everything each one of you does but sometimes I just do NOT want to be a grown up.

I sometimes question myself and wonder why did I rush through college and want to grow up so fast.

Oh yeah, so I could pay bills, be stressed, and feel independent.

I could dwell on the not so fun parts of adult life but I want to live in the now and enjoy the many blessings I have been given.

How cool is it to be able to come on vacation with Ad's parents and grandparents.

I love coming here to Arkansas and just laying out on the lake and enjoying God's creation.

I love getting to spend time with this guy.

I had never been on a boat until Ad and I started dating and now I cannot get enough of it.

Until it starts pouring down rain

I told him to look natural.....

Love her!

I mean how can you not be at peace with this view.

Look how cute they look!

:)

Anyway, I am going to go out and enjoy our last day by soaking up the sun and reflecting on my many blessings the Lord has given me.

I hope each one of you takes the time today to do the same :)

Summer of Service - Week 2 ~ Animals

I promised that I would keep up with Holly's Summer of Service project and that is what I am going to do!

So last week was Animals you can check out Holly's post about things to do for animals HERE

Before we left for vacation we went to feed the ducks at Lake Weatherford..... that counts right?!?!

Yeah, I don't know.... because this week we my husband has been doing this..........

Maybe sometime this summer I will go back and do something better than just feeding the ducks!

This weeks service project is: Words are Powerful.

You can check out Holly's great ideas HERE

I am excited that I can actually do this one.

The point of this week's service project is to encourage someone with your words.

I am looking forward to leaving little notes in our cabin for the next people.

I am hoping you can join in for this weeks Summer Service Project.

Show and Tell Tuesday: Our Yards

Hey!

I am linking up with Andrea at Momfessionals for her Show and Tell Tuesday. This Tuesday is about our yards and outdoor spaces.

First, I am on vacation so I used where we are staying for this link up.

Secondly, no one would want to see our yard at the moment. It is awful! There has been so much rain and our yard slopes so we still have water standing in our yard. It is crazy. One thing I wish I could show you would be Ad's beautiful garden. He takes so much pride in it and he should, it looks great.

Third, this post in no way is sponsored. Just my own opinions from coming here the past six years and all of the photos are just taken on my iPhone camera.

So who is ready to see where I am spending my vacation?!?

We are staying at Mountain Harbor Resort and Spa on Lake Ouachita in Arkansas. It is so beautiful here!

Here is the front of our cabin

Love these trees

There are some more cabins to the left and this is in the middle of the drive.
It is a cute covered area with bbq pits.

I cannot get enough of these trees!

This is to the left of the cabin in the front

This is to the right... just more trees

left side

walk down the left side of the house and you see the water

view from the back

this is our back "yard"

I love this porch area!
It is where I spend most of my time here.

Down in the back "yard" is a picnic table and a BBQ pit.

View from the top of the porch

Here is the left side of the porch.....
It is a little messy from all of our stuff

The Hot Tub!

We are ready to go!

Love these double doors off of the living room.

Little grill

Lake toys

The right side of the porch.... This is Ad's grandfather enjoying some coffee :)

That's it y'all!

We spend most of the day out on the lake as evident by my horrible sun burn and my husbands great skin....

Then we all move to the back porch and just enjoy Mother Nature's peacefulness.

I can't wait to see everyone else's yards!

Have a great Tuesday.

Weekend Wrap Up: Getting Ready for Vacation

Happy Monday Y'all!

I am typing this as I am setting out on the back porch listening to the birds and having an amazing view of the lake.

We are at the Mountain Harbor Resort and Spa on Lake Ouachita in Arkansas. It is so beautiful here and Ad's family has come here every year and this is my 6th year to get to come.

On Friday we set out to Rising Star to pick up B's friend and then headed to Georgetown to pick up B from basketball camp.

I started packing and was trying to find my water shoes and dumped the two bins that hold my shoes.
Sadly, I could not find them in this mess.
#imighthaveaproblem

This showed up on my time hop on Friday.

Love this guy!

This is his stop taking pictures face :)

This is my it's 7 pm and we are still not to Weatherford yet face.

B & I might have something in common

Ad's tomatoes

This pretty baby deer was at Ad's grandparent's back porch

B got to pet it

Then I saw this gem of my hubby

This explains my life in a  nut shell...
Rangers game, me reading for grad school and Ad looking at show pigs.

On Sunday I was up and ready...

Had donuts

I was already tired of riding in a car

This was my car ride

#Selfiefail

We stop every year at Texarkana, Arkansas for lunch.
Each year we have a picture from this spot.

A couple of hours later we arrived!

It is beautiful here. I will be sharing pictures later.

After dinner we jumped in the hot tub that is on the back porch.

Then I woke up this morning to this......

I am a workaholic! It is stressing me out not working. I know this is a problem and I am trying my hardest to work on it. Self- care is very important and that is why this morning I am headed to the SPA!!!

I hope everyone is having a great Monday!
