Weekend - Wrap Up: Week 1

Happy Monday Y'all!

This weekend went by WAY to fast.

Friday was GAME DAY, better known as my favorite day.

I got to spend a couple of minutes with this guy before he had to leave to get on the bus.

beautiful

The best part?! ELKS WIN!

When I finally got home.
I am not sure what time the hubs got back, well after I went to bed at midnight.

I slept in on Saturday while the hubs was off to watch film before the sun was up. He went out to scout while I headed to Temple to celebrate a little guy get adopted by a great family!

Then I may have spent a little much at Target and got some cute curtains. That are being put up by the hubs as I type this :)

Sunday was filled with cleaning, laundry, and grad school. School has now started again and I want to cry. Only three more semesters. Let the countdown begin!

Here is to a good week!

Friday Favorites: It is GAME DAY!

It is here y'all!

It is the first game of the year!

To say I am excited would be an understatement. I am going to apologize now for the many football posts that will be coming up.

Today I am linking up with AndreaErika and Narci for Friday Favorites.

Anyway today I am going to share some of my favorite football memories.

When you are in Texas football starts to be a big thing at an early age
My husband at an early age :)

Whenever we had a big game in high school we would have a bonfire the night before the game or after the game.

I loved getting to watch my main man play every week.

This was us just two years ago after Adrian's first game to coach.

First year coaching
{Mine is the tall one in the hat}

This was us last year after the second game of the year.
One of my not so favorite moments was when I missed the first game last year due to work :(

getting to go on scouting trips with this guy is a favorite of mine

It is always a favorite of mine when our families can come see him coach.

By far my favorite memory from last year was when the team was given the award for Dave Campbell's Team of the Week. {It was a big deal :) }

Here is to a WIN tonight!

This Weeks Treats

It is Wednesday Y'all and that means I am linking up with  Holly for Waiting on Wednesday.

That means only two more days till the first game of the year! I know, I am excited.

Since Football is upon us I decided that there are only a handful of us coaches wives (three to be exact) here and I wanted to do something special for these awesome ladies.

First I found these super cute cups at Wal Mart for 98 cents!
{we may now have a full set at our house ;) }

Then I found this necklace at Charming Charlie
One side is a football and the other is a hamlet.

I wear the football side almost every day now.

Then I added some must haves for season.
Once a year at least there are those heartbreaking moments that make you cry.
Then some gum so we can "stick together"
Then some cupcake flavored chap stick

I added it all in the cup and wrote each of them a note.

Super cheap and easy.

Now on to the first treats of the year I made for the boys.

I made this football survival kit.

I saw a similar one on Pinterest here but I changed it up a bit.

The first thing I did was type up the note on the front:
"Football Survival Kit"
Gum - To remind you to stick together as a TEAM!
Lifesavers- To HELP each other out!
Snickers - To have FUN!
Smartie - To play SMART!
Starburst - For that BURST of energy!

I sat down on the floor to form my assembly line.

and here is the end result.
I am so ready for Friday night!

On Sunday night while Ad was finishing up his stuff for his room and I worked on treats for the teachers.

I also found this on Pintrest and you can find it here

The blog The Review Wire has the printable.
Since I was at the school I didn't use the super cute printable, I just used regular white paper.

Here they are! I used sharpies, pens, pencils, and highlighters.

I hope everyone is having a great couple of days back to school.

I am a mixed bag of emotions today!

Frist, my husband started back to school today. It is his 3rd year to teach and I cannot believe it has already been three years.

Second, Our time gets more and more limited from now on.

Third, I am super excited about football season.

Fourth, I think my job might finally slow down :)

Since I was a terrible blogger for most of the summer I thought I would share some of our crazy today.

We started off the summer right by a trip to Magnolia Market!

Had a visit from my favorite little guy!

We spent time in the hospital to make sure everything is good.

This past weekend I went off to camp and co-host another parent training

This is what I did in my down time.

My sock puppet was on point.

And now here we are.

Another summer down. I believe each year gets better and better!

I love this guy so much and I am so lucky to get to go through life with him.

And just because the first game is Friday, here is a pic of my main man as a little guy :)

I hope everyone made it through the first day back!
