Friday Favorites

It is finally Friday! It has been one crazy week around here and I am ready for the weekend.

Today I am linking up with AndreaErika, and Narci for Friday Favorites.

Today we have a big game so if you could say a little extra prayer for us for a big win tonight I would greatly appreciate it :)

I have been a terrible blogger the past month so I wanted to go back and share some of my favorite things from the past couple of weeks.

Over Christmas break Adrian surprised me with a trip to Charleston, SC! I was so excited and we had the best time. You can read about part one here and part two here

This guy is by far my favorite.

This house was my favorite.

This view was my favorite.

We had a great Christmas with both of our families and having him to myself for two weeks was defiantly a favorite.

Blaise won her class at the county stock show and that was a favorite moment of mine this month.
Adrian and Blaise love showing and this is something that they really have bonded over and got to spend a lot of time doing.

Basketball. Lots and lots of basketball.
It is still my favorite though.

These girls are my favorite. We celebrated Geani's sweet baby girl in January.
I can't wait until she gets here this month.

This lady is my favorite. She had this shirt made for me.
The funniest thing is that neither of us grew up in Evant, we just now live in Evant.

Late night fast food dinners with the team and this guy are my favorite.
I am so tired of DQ but not tired of spending time with him or the boys.

This weekend is a pretty quite one for me and I am so thankful! The past couple of weekends have been spent at basketball tournaments so a break is much needed.

Have a great weekend!

Christmas Trip Part 2

Okay after 1586347614 days I am finally posting the second part of our Christmas trip.

I must say that I am officially IN LOVE with Charleston. Incase you missed part one you can read it here

We arrived late Saturday night and went straight to the hotel.

Sunday morning we got up and went downtown to take a walking tour. We saw so much and learned so much form our guide during this tour. I would recommend this to anyone!

Cobble Stone Streets... LOVE

Beautiful Church.

I loved the homes

I just thought this gate was cute.

This house is on the market. It is way cute and I would love to move.
The only problem is it is 7.5 MILLION dollars. YIKES!

Beautiful view at the harbor.

They are redoing this building right now but it is one of the oldest buildings in the city.

We then headed out to brunch.
I did not touch the girts. #sorrynotsorry
We then walked around the market and went back to the hotel for a couple of hours as we were tired!

We had a great dinner out on the harbor.
Fleet Landing was soo good!

He cleans up nice :)

On Monday we headed out to a Plantation House.

Love the trees

We walked around the property and saw the slave houses. It was so interesting to see.

These are some of the artifacts found at these homes.
It was a great reminder.

This house is where Blake Livley and Ryan Reynolds got married and it is also the future Greenfield home. #ijoke
We don't need 25 bedrooms or do we?

They had a very pretty garden.

Sadly we didn't get to take pictures inside but let me tell you it was amazing.

We were driving around and these Church doors were so cute!

Adrian bought me two roses from kids that were making these from palm leaves.

We headed out on a boat to go see Fort Sumter
While planning this trip Adrian said all he wanted to go do was to go see Fort Sumter, so we went.
#heisateacher #helovehistory

We arrived

First time to see the atlantic ocean.

He got me some sea shells

Me: "Adrian go stand there so I can get your picture at the entrance"
Adrian: "Really, how old do you think I am?"

These cannons were huge

Me: "Stand here"
Adrian: "Why"

It was such a neat place to go and see where the Civil War started.

This guy though. He is the sweetest for driving me all around just so we could have some great days together and help me see a part of this country!

Monday night we ate out at another restaurant on the harbor but it wasn't as good and I have no picture. #ifail

Tuesday morning we got up early and headed to a local favorite, the marina and got some yummy breakfast before we hit the road.

This is what I did most of the truck ride home.

Crossing the Mississippi.

We stayed Tuesday night in Vicksburg, Mississippi and once again I took zero pictures.

We made it home around 7 pm on Wednesday. This was a very quick trip but it was a great trip. I honestly cannot express how amazing it was and how much fun I had with my main man. I will not forget this trip!

I can't wait until our next adventure.

Thanks for hanging in with me :)

Show and Tell Tuesday: Ways to Win My Heart

Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday. Today the prompt is how to win my heart.

I am just a simple small town girl with a huge love of purses.

The first gift Adrian ever bought me was a small Coach purse and it had to cost more than any of the other purses I owned combine. So I actually blame him for my love of nice purses.

Adrian knows me all too well and I get a new purse for my birthday every year without question.
I know I sound super snotty but it is the fact that he knows what I love and how to pick out the best purses that melts my heart.

He pours so much into these boys and just getting to watch him do what he loves melts my heart.

He has seen me at my best and at my worst and he is still here.
That is a Win in my book.

He loves my family and my family loves him.

He has always been my biggest cheerleader.
{Random Story Time:} I tried out for Miss Rising Star and I was so nervous because each of us girls had to get up and talk in front of tons (100) people. We were also asked a "hot topic" question that we had to answer. Well, I really wanted to win and I ended up getting Runner Up. I think Adrian was more happy that I got runner up than anything. He still talks about it today. I think he was happier that he didn't have to follow me around all summer to different towns to do projects as Miss Rising Star.

He puts up with my weekly after game pictures.
He is the hardest worker I know and that goes a long way to melt this heart.
This Saturday we had a basketball tournament and then on Sunday he got up and went to go cut down wood with a friend. This guy never stops.

Some nights I will come home from work and he will have the dishes done and dinner cooked.
I mean, I could not be any luckier.

He does not take anything for granted and has really helped me not be such a "planner and worrier". Adrian loves to laugh and keeps me laughing.

He takes me on great adventures. Just this Christmas he surprised me with a trip to Charleston, SC!

He always tells me how proud he is of me and just hearing that from him melts my heart.

He goes along with my crazy ideas.

We have experienced so much together and have so many great memories together.

We have big plans and he supports me in these plans.

He is a Godly man and makes me want to be a better person daily.

So I know these are super random but these are all reasons and ways this guy wins my heart.

I can't wait to read yours!
