Waiting on Wednesday: Teacher Appreciation Week

It is Wednesday and like every Wednesday I am linking up with Holly for Waiting on Wednesday.

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and I appreciate all of the teachers I had and all that I get to interact with now.

I have a great husband who is a teacher & a coach and I have learned to have so much more appreciation for ALL of the work they do.

Today the superintendent's wife and I provided breakfast for the teachers.
We kept it simple and did fruit and donuts.

We met up last night and went to the store and go plates & napkins and decorations for the rest of the week.

Up at 5:30 am driving 30 miles to get donuts. #smalltownproblems

I also used two other super cute printables I found off trusty Pintrest.

I used this printable. You can get it HERE

I put those all over the table.

The rest of the week we will be doing breakfast tomorrow, popcorn for a snack and then Friday lunch with cookies for a snack.

Then I will have treats for all of the teachers for Thursday & Friday.

Come back and see what I do with these things!

I hope everyone has a great day and don't forget to thank a teacher.

Weekend Wrap Up: Busiest Weekend Ever

So I may be a day late posting this because I spent yesterday after work finishing up my LAST research paper for this semester of grad school. Can I get an AMEN!?!?!

Anyway, this weekend was the craziest and busiest one yet! Too bad the rest of the weekends in May are just as busy!

Where to start.....

On Thursday I talked about part one of my Oklahoma trip. You can read that HERE

I went to Oklahoma for my brother in - law's boot camp graduation.

On Friday was his actual graduation. We waited in line for what seemed like forever. When we got in this was the only picture that I got that was worth anything.

Me & B in the car going to lunch

B got this picture on her Snap Chat..... I am sure her friends think I am CRAZY

{btw yes that is TWO phones... I work A LOT}

While waiting for lunch Ad's grandma, aunt, and I ran off the the "cantina"

If you are ever in the Lawton area you must eat at Ted's it is the BEST Mexican Food!

Then we checked out the Artillery Museum on base

Me & the grad

Love that flag

We then spent the day at the mall and driving around sight seeing.

Then I changed into some of my comfy clothes.
I have had these shorts since the 6th grade and they are still my favorite shorts!

B& I were sending Ad pictures during our ride home

This is our "sad face" that he was not there.

Here is our "we have only been on the road an hour and are over it" picture

Ad's grandfather is a very tall man and I was the one getting to sit behind him on the way home.

We had almost made it home when we were stuck behind traffic due to a cow getting out and getting ran over.
We sat here and waited for a while before we were able to go. #smalltownproblems

We made it back to R Star around 1 am.

I got up the next morning and headed to Pflugerville, which is about 3.5 hours away, for the Regional Track Meet.

I didn't get any pictures of the kids and since the coaches were not allowed down on the track then I got to sit next to my favorite guy!

We then went to the Saltlick. One of my favorite places EVER!

This was our "We have officially made it through Jr. High & High School, cross country, football, basketball, and track" picture

I can't believe sports are over this year! Year two of being a coach's wife is down.

Now we have open gym nights, 7 on 7 and 3 on 3.

It really never ends but that's the way it goes.

On Sunday we headed to go see my aunt, uncle & cousins.

My cousin had his Confirmation.
{I did not get any pictures with him on my camera}

It was a beautiful service. We then went back to my aunts and had a yummy lunch.

We were worn out by the time we hit the road to come home.

Before we made it home we stopped and picked up some "new to us" patio furniture and I can't wait to show every one the plans we have for it.

Finally Sunday night it was cuddle on the couch and watch TV time.

We had the busiest weekend but I would not want it any other way. I got to spend time with my family and with some awesome kids that worked so hard to get to Regionals.

Have a great week everyone!

Show & Tell Tuesday: The party I never got to host

Happy Tuesday Y'all!

Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday.

Today we are talking about the Favorite party we have hosted.

I have helped with a couple of baby showers and bridal showers but never really been "the hostess" that does it all. With the showers I have done I have helped but up decorations, made food, etc.

Last year we lived in a very small town and at our house we had a HUGE and pretty back yard. It was the perfect place for a party.

One of the coaches was having a baby and I wanted to throw her and her husband (another coach) a baby shower. Thankfully there were some other teachers that were more than happy to help me.

So I got everything together and the hubs was going to grill hamburgers and hot dogs.

Everything was decorated and ready to go and THEN my phone rang.

At that time I was working at Child Protective Services (CPS) and in our area since it was such a huge one had a on call person than a back up on call person.

All of the other times I had been back up on call I never got a call so when this was the only weekend available for the shower I didn't think it was going to be an issue.

Little did I know.....

About an hour before the party I got that phone call. I had to go out and do an investigation because the on call worker was also out and would not be done in time.

I ended up traveling about two hours away (we covered a massive area) and was out working until 11 pm and completely missed the party.

So I did not get to attend my first party I "hosted"

My husband never took any pictures so I don't even have proof of my party :(

I do know that everyone had fun as they all told me about it the next day.

I am currently planning a surprise graduation party and I cannot wait to show everything that I am doing :)

I look forward to reading about everyone's favorite party.

Friday Favorites

It is Friday y'all!

Today like every Friday I am linking up with Andrea, Erika and Narci for Friday Favorites!

This Friday Favorites is just going to be a bunch of randomness :)

I am constantly checking in on the Royals to see if a new prince or princess has been born!

I am a big Royal's fan and liked them even more after going to London a week after William & Kate's Wedding.

This was me at the Westminster Abbey Gift Shop

This was Sunday night after working on a research paper ALL.DAY.
Writing is okay but writing a research paper is not one of my favorite things!

Me & Ty hanging out at open gym.
This is one of my favorite things to do

These are so amazing pictures we got right before we had a big storm this week.

The Spurs losing is NOT on my list of Favorites.
Yes I wear my jersey at home when watching the games on TV.
#PLEASEDON'TJUDGEME

The hubs helped design this Regional Track Shirt.
He is my Favorite!

Last year the hubs and I went to TWO Spurs playoff games.
He is a Mavs fan and I clearly am not ;)

I am begging that the Spurs win game 7 so we can go back and do one of my FAVORITE things and watch the Spurs live!

Spurs jersey & Mavs shirt

Adrian got this custom made for me when we were dating.
HOW.SWEET!

This was after we knocked the Mavs out in the first round.
He can't help but wear those silly Mavs shirts ;)

Then lastly I got to see some beautiful sights yesterday in Oklahoma.

These are some of my favorite pictures from yesterday.
