Waiting on Wednesday: Waiting for Friday Night

It is another busy week here in the Greenfield house! Volleyball games, a cross country meet, jr. high football game, high school football game, pig sale, volleyball.... I think that is all, oh wait I still have my job to do!

It can get a little  lot busy around here, that is why I am waiting on Friday night.  I don't want to go into all the details here and now, but we have an important game on Friday and we just happen to be playing the same school Ad & I graduated from and it is also their/(our/ alumni) homecoming.

Things are complicated. Things are hard this week. I just would ask if you could say an extra prayer for me this week! I know I talk a lot about football and I know there are MUCH bigger things in this world than football but it is a part of our daily life.  I know just how bad the world can be, I worked for CPS after all. Some weeks I just feel the weight of life a little more.

On a happy note, my uncle sent me these pictures yesterday, that he found on his old computer. These have to be four years old or so. I love looking back on all the great things Ad and I have been able to do together.

We went parasailing. It was soo much fun!

Weekend Wrap- Up: Week 5

Where has this weekend gone?!

The end of the month is a crazy time in work land, oh, who am I kidding this whole summer and now fall has been crazy.

Anyway, on with my weekend.

Friday = Game DAY! It was our homecoming and it was packed.

My guy is the tall one :) 

The other coach is coach C and his wife and I sit together at every game. 

We were both taking this picture at the same time. 

We laugh because how many people take pictures of their husband's at their job. 

Ad would never take a picture of me documenting on my computer or talking on the phone with a parent. It is funny when you think about it.

The head coaches wife sent this picture to me after every one left. 

These three will talk for ages.... 

Saturday Ad went to another pig sale while I stayed home and worked on this messy house and grad school. 

I also bought George Strait's new album and I LOVE it! 

By far my favorite song. 

This was Thursday morning in my hometown. 

So pretty. {random but too good not to share} 

Sunday we enjoyed some down time and watched the Cowboys. 

The Cowboys. It is hard being a Cowboys fan. 

We had a great dinner together and then watched the two new shows on ABC. Blood & Oil and Quantico. They were both good! 

I love Sunday nights. It is the one time during the week, where we really get to relax eat dinner together and enjoy our time. 

We have another crazy busy week but I have a feeling it will be a good one.

Waiting on Wednesday: Homecoming Week

We made it to Wednesday!

It has been a a long week already. I keep telling myself that Friday will be here before I know it.

This week is homecoming week, so I thought I would share some memories of homecoming's past :)

Look what showed up on my time hop! 

My Sr. year it was raining and I got voted Band Sweetheart. 

This is Chris, one of my classmates and he was voted Band Beau.

We go all out in small town Texas for homecoming.

Every year each class (Freshman - Seniors) make huge signs for the homecoming pep-rally and the winner gets money that goes to their class.

Then my BFF Tiffany posted this not too long ago. 

It was camo day during homecoming week. 

I think we were in first or second grade. 

I am the one in the back with the hat and camo overalls.

On Monday I came home from the store and found this when I pulled in. 

My husband is a great teacher #justsaying 

and in one of his science classes they made tie-dye shirts for tie-dye shirt day on Tuesday. 

Too bad he washed them all in the bathroom first. #greatteacher #badhousecleaner 

No more Mums for me but I still enjoy homecoming week and love Friday night!

Weekend Wrap Up: Week 4

Where do I start?!?!

I missed a whole week of blogging while I was gone on a work trip! I have had the busiest week and I am so happy to be home.

I got home at 6 pm on Thursday, just in time for kick -off for the Jr. High football game.

after the Elks won 14-12! I got home and got in my PJ's and got caught up on the news in Evant. 

Friday came and I worked until.... GAME TIME! 

This game was back and fourth so I was stress eating.... 

But at the end of the day the ELKS WON!!

Saturday morning we left at 8 am for a volleyball game and then I drove home and Ad went to a pig sale. I got to see my family and have dinner with my best friends. #itwasagoodday 

On Sunday my time hop was full of wedding day pictures. 

Ad went to another pig sale on Sunday and I tried to get caught up on school work. #jokeisonme 

This week is Evant's Homecoming! Finally a home game.

Friday Favorites: Randomness

Happy Friday Y'all!


Today I am linking up with Andrea, Erika & Narci for Friday Favorites.

It is Football Friday! 

Tonight we have an away game and I'm ready! 

Last week the Elks won and it is always a favorite when they win. 

We also had family come to the game and that is always a favorite of mine. 

This week has been long but has gone fast. 

Does that make any sense?! 

I guess I want it to be 2018. 

I did a TON of driving this week and that is not one of my favorite things. 

I have been sick with this weather changing. 

My box came with me to the jr. high football game. 

The Jr. High Elks won Thursday, which is always a FAVORITE of mine! 

By far, my favorite thing is that Sunday will mark ONE year of marriage for Ad and I.

We are going out to celebrate on Saturday {after practice #duh} because I will be headed out on Sunday for a week long out of town training. 

Let us not FORGET about today and how this day in 2001 changed this nation. 

I was in the 4th grade when 911 occurred. I don't think I understood what all happened on that day. You can read my take on 911 here

If you ever get a chance to go to SMU and go to the President George W. Bush library, I would recommend going. They have a great exhibit on 911. You can take a look at their online photos from that day here
