Royally Waiting, Vegas

Hello March!

Since I haven't blogged in a longgggg while I thought I would try to get back into the game with linking up with a couple of my favorite bloggers!

This is the first week of the Royally Waiting link up with ShellyHolly, and Katy and I could not be more excited.

WAITING ON....
Currently I am waiting on our flight back home. I am currently at the pool soaking up the last of Vegas!

THINKING ABOUT.....
Anyone else wondering how to do it all?!?! And on top of that I don't even have kids yet....

READING.....
I received the Jesus Calling devotional for Christmas and I have been loving it!

This hit me like a ton of bricks! I am a worrier by nature and recently it has gotten out of control. I needed this reminder.

PLANNING.......
I am currently working on planning a big 50th birthday bash for my mom. If you have any tips please share away!

GOING.......
Crazy since I am missing work! I always feel bad taking off!

LISTENING TO......
Whatever is being played at the pool. I can't complain!

HEARTING.......
The past few weekends at home with this guy.

COOKING/EATING......
I am not even going to lie I am spoiled. I work a lot like way too much. Well I married a man that can and will cook! He has cooked almost every night for me.

When I do find myself having to be an adult and make my own food, this Greek Whips is my favorite new thing!

LOVING........

I am loving this.

I am still loving being done with graduate school.

I also think I am going to love this fun new link up!
I hope to be better around here! I really do love this space I just need to make the time to keep up with it.

Come back on Friday when I share my favorites from this trip!

Brave

How in the heck is it 2017?!!? Time is truly flying by....

I have been bad at blogging but I am very committed to document this year. I am hoping there will be big things in store for us this year.

I have never created me a "word" for the year but I think 2017 is the perfect time to crank one out!

There has been so many changes in my life in the past couple of months and there is one word that keeps sticking out to me that I wanted to share.

Brave!

I am a people pleaser by nature and being brave is hard for me but 2017 is the year for me to be brave!

Not only do I want to be brave in my personal life but I also want to be brave in my new job.

A lot of changes are occurring and a lot of responsibility has been given to me. As scary as it all is, I know I just need to be "brave".

I wish you all a happy and healthy 2017!

Let's be brave!

What's New??

Since I have been MIA for a long while I needed to let you in on whats new in my life.

There has been so many big things  happening in this girls world!

First off, my favorite guy in the whole world graduated with his Master's in Educational Leadership on December 9th.

So proud!

And then a week later, I graduated with my Masters in Social Work.

Love my family

Love my hubs

And if that is not enough excitement I started a new job (I know, another job) but I am so excited about this oppurtunity!

I am now the assistant administrator at a children's shelter for children in foster care.

It is a new role for me but one that I am very excited about. I can't wait to see what the future will hold.

Until then I will be working like crazy while the hubs is out hunting and enjoying his last week of freedom before school starts back.

Happy Monday friends!

Weekend Wrap-Up: Family Edition

Happy Monday Friends!

We had a crazy busy weekend. On Friday, Ad's brother and cousin came to his football game.

Since Adrian's brother is in from Germany we had Thanksgiving as a family on Saturday. I didn't take any pictures during lunch but man did we have a TON of food!

It was yummy and I had me a nice nap after :)

Then Adrian's cousin took our pictures for our Christmas Cards this year. She does amazing work.

I love how she got our candid moments

I loved having these made out on the farm

One of my favorites

My other favorite

Out on the dock

I am so thankful I get to live this life with this guy :)

On Sunday I headed to Church with my family and then we had some family pictures taken.

Next week is my last week at my job and I have tons of mixed feelings!

Have a great week friends.

Show and Tell Tuesday: What Makes Me .... Me

Since I haven't blogged in a while I thought today would be a great day to "re- introduce" myself and share all about my quirks that make me...me :)

I am linking up with Andrea for her Show and Tell Tuesday series.

I'm JulieAnn and I am married to Adrian who is a coach and a teacher at a small 1A school in central Texas.
Even my name is quirky: a capital "A" in the middle of my name, yet is all one word.
#thanksmom

I'm 24 but an "old soul". You will find us vacationing to Las Vegas with my uncle and my husband's grandparents.

I love to send Christmas Cards and write thank you notes to people and send via snail mail.

I HATE camping. I just HATE it with a passion.
I did however set this tent up all by myself and was rather proud of myself.

I wear this beanie on every bus ride. It is now a tradition.

The first time I ever got on an airplane was when I was 18 years old and flew all the way to London!

Ever since then I want to fly everywhere.

I started dating my husband when I was 15. Almost 10 years I have been with this guy.
THAT.IS.CRAZY.

You will find me at a football field, a basketball gym, or a track from August until May.

I hate mowing the yard. I think it is the worst. Well in between the months of August and May, my husband isn't home so who gets to be the one to ensure we don't look trashy? Me.
I never agreed to this term when I said I do.

I laugh when I am uncomfortable.

True Story: I met a parent of one of Adrian's players and I was trying to make conversation. Well I knew that she lived around the block from us, so I told her "I know where y'all live" and started laughing.

Y'all she has not spoken to me since and that was TWO years ago.

I'm a sports nerd. There is no denying it.
I listen to ESPN radio all day. I can give you the line up if you would like?
Russillo & Kanell is my favorite. 12-3 pm

I used to have the Tony Parker and Tim Ducan's webiste saved as a favorite and would cheek it every day. I also checked their stats after every game. I know I'm strange.

I have to hold paper. I love to write and highlight.

I also write in pen on my planner. I am not a pencil girl.

Random Notes:

I despise washing dishes. I only lived in one house 3 months that had a dish washer and then we moved.

I grew up without one and now I continue to live in a house without one. #firstworldproblems

However, I do love laundry. It is such a great feeling to not have any laying around that needs washing.

I WILL NOT eat chicken on a bone.

I throw away my husbands long white socks.

I cannot let my food touch on my plate! EVER.

I talk to myself when I am driving.

I set at least 4 alarms on my phone at night.

I will sleep on the couch when my husband isn't home.

I have never lived in a town with a population of more than 1,000 people.

What issues should I work on in therapy first?

:)

Two Years

Y'all it has been two years since me and my main man finally got married. I say finally because we have only been together almost ten years!

These two years have flown by.

I don't know where I would be without this guy.

I don't think I could have made it through this year without him.

He is my best friend. My rock. My sounding board.

He never lets me quite no matter how many times I have wanted to.

He supports me.

He makes me want to be better.

There is no where I would rather be than with you every day.

Thank you for loving me.

Thank you for the two best years!

Here is to many more Mr. G!

XOXO ~ JulieAnn
